Expert tips and guidance to help you get
the most from every pumping session.

There are 4 different pumping modes: Stimulation, Expression, Massage, and Automatic. Each pumping mode has 9 suction levels so you can find what feels best for you. And your DiscreetDuo™ Flow is designed so that you can adjust the suction levels and pumping modes separately for each breast for a truly customizable experience.

  • Stimulation Mode is to help trigger your let-down. It mimics how babies begin feeding with fast, light sucking. Use to begin pumping and to initiate milk flow.
  • Expression Mode removes milk from your breasts. Use when let-down is initiated and milk is flowing. Use after Stimulation mode or after breastfeeding.
  • Massage Mode provides gentle stimulation. Use if milk has stopped flowing in Expression mode to encourage additional let-downs.
  • Automatic Mode slowly builds in suction strength. It optimizes suction from start to finish, increasing every 15 seconds until it reaches the max suction strength chosen.

No, you do not need to wear a different or special bra such as a pumping or nursing bra. You can simply slip the DiscreetDuo Flow™ Wearable Pump into your bra, center the nipple in the flange tunnel, and start pumping. However, it does come with 2 bra extenders that can be used with a nursing bra in case you need more room.

When you are finished pumping, break the seal between the breast and the flange funnel with one finger and then carefully remove the pump from your breast. Separate the milk collector cup from the pump hub and pour the breastmilk into a storage bottle or breastmilk storage bag through the slot on the top of the cup. To minimize leaking, make sure the flange tunnel is facing up.

First check the DiscreetDuo Flow™ is assembled correctly following the instructions included in the box. Check if the silicone diaphragm is facing the correct way with flat side facing towards the front and indent towards the back from the flange tunnel ends. Also check the valve is horizontal and not vertical when attaching it to the breastmilk collection cup. Last, check the breast flange is completely sealed around the edges and the battery is fully charged before pumping.
