I bought this pump to take on work trips with me so I could avoid my bulk Medela. There are some major pros: the hands free convenience, milk is easy to pour, and it’s relatively easy to disassemble and reassemble once you get the hang of things. The suction is strong too!
But there are some cons as well: I have one side where I’ll regularly not get any milk until I stop the pump, hand massage for a few minutes, then pump again. This has happened enough times that it’s not a fluke—I think the pump isn’t great at priming. The inconsistency in output means I have to stop a few times each pump session to ensure I’m getting anything at all. (It’s hard to describe but I actually can’t feel the milk expression the way I can with my Medela).
The other major con is that I can’t get the top motor part to line up and sit flat with the rest of the body so I’m constantly pushing it back down. I’ll be reaching out to customer service to see if I need to replace the part—it seemed like an annoying design flaw at first but none of the pictures I’ve seen from other users show the motor misaligned so I think it’s unintended.
In short: glad I have a truly hands free option, but kind of kicking myself that I used up my free insurance pump on it.
