Annual highlights from our sustainability journey

2023

Lansinoh was recognized for leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change by global environmental non-profit CDP, securing a place on its annual ‘A List’. Our deep commitment to ESG activities reflects our holistic approach to sustainable business practices and the long-held belief that all families deserve a healthy future.

2022

Our famous purple tube - Lanolin Nipple Cream - was certified as climate neutral by a third party. To be climate neutral, we avoid and reduce emissions as much as possible, then offset by funding a certified climate protection project that provides clean water to rural families.

2021

We use education as a tool to improve. After taking part in the Target Gender Equality Program and signing up for the Women’s Empowerment Principles, we provided training on non-discrimination, equal opportunities as well as improved parental leave policies.

2020

Every year we review our business footprint. In 2020, our assessment revealed that we reduced our direct and indirect emissions (Scope 1 & 2) by 66%. Our original goal was to reduce these by 46% by 2030.

2019

The beginning of our sustainability journey! With our partner, DFGE, we completed our first audit of the business, giving us knowledge of our carbon footprint.

We believe that taking responsibility for our impact on the planet is not only the right thing to do – it’s essential for the survival of our business. We will be a climate neutral business by 2030 by reducing and avoiding Greenhouse Gas emissions. We established our baseline emissions, defined and acted on reduction measures, and continue to report on our progress. As part of our commitment to sustainability, we also work with our local communities around the world to make difference.

We recognize the need to work together to achieve ambitious targets and are committed to doing our part. That's why we signed up for the Science Based Targets initiative which brings together organizations to take urgent climate action and support the Paris Agreement.

In 2015, governments worldwide signed up to the Paris Agreement which commits to preventing climate warming from reaching above 1.5°C. This is crucial to avoid more frequent and severe weather events, and the resulting poverty and dislocation of millions of people.

The United Nations Global Compact is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative. Those who take part align their strategies and operations with ten principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption. This commitment supports the goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals.

As a participant, every year Lansinoh submits a Communication on Progress report to show how we implement the Compact’s principles. The report is an important accountability tool and allows businesses to share best practises and learn from each other. Through participation businesses are helping to create a more sustainable and equitable world for all.
