FAQs

What moms want to know

We do not recommend drinking Milk’s Up when pregnant; it’s best to start once your baby is born.

None of the HotTea Mama blends include sweetener. But if you have a sweet tooth you can add honey, sugar, or the artificial sweetener of your choice.

Whole leaf tea has a much larger leaf size than powdered tea. Powdered or “dust” grade tea is a byproduct of whole leaf tea production, as farmers collect the dust that falls from the floor/machinery to put into normal tea bags.

Whole leaf tea has a lower surface area, which means it loses its natural compounds more slowly to the air compared to dust tea. As a result, it has a more robust flavor and more active compounds to support wellness.

Yes! Because this special tea blend is made only with whole leaves which have a higher surface area than tea “dust”, it has more flavor and more active compounds, and can be brewed more than once.

The first time you use it, let the tea brew for 3-5 minutes - no need to squeeze the bag. For the second use, you can either keep the bag in the cup and just top it up again with hot water, or, you can remove the teabag out and store it in a sealed, airtight container. You can then place it in the refrigerator to use again later in the day. The ingredients will slightly oxidise and look brown but the flavour and the benefits will all still be there.

Yes, they are made from a special biodegradable nylon derived from sugar cane. In an industrial composter it will break down within 6-8 weeks

Milk’s Up Lactation tea is blended and packed in the UK using ingredients from Tunisia, Egypt, Turkey, Portugal, Poland, and India.
