Follow the instructions manual on how to properly assemble the breastmilk expression and set up for optimal performance.
Before getting started, consult instructions for helpful pumping tips and techniques – for example, how to power pump and when to use the NaturalWave mode.
The NaturalWave pump will start in let-down mode for 2 minutes before switching to expression mode.
You can switch between let-down and expression modes and 3 pumping styles anytime throughout the pumping session to find the one right for you.
Turn on the NaturalWave mode whenever you are in expression mode by pressing the NaturalWave Mode icon on the display.
You can adjust the 12 levels of suction to find the most comfortable and effective level for you. Remember, pumping should not hurt!
There are 2 settings to adjust the brightness of the night light. Press the nightlight icon to toggle through the brightness levels.
Charge your pump in between uses.
Clean your breastmilk expression set after each session. Do not get tubing wet!

What moms want to know
A: The NaturalWave mode is a new pumping mode that recreates the fluttering movements a baby's tongue makes at the end of every swallow when feeding. This not only makes pumping feel much more comfortable but stimulates more let-downs which helps empty mom's breasts. It is the not the same as another massage mode - instead NaturalWave Technology is exclusive to Lansinoh and helps empty your breasts.
A: Insert the USB-C end of the adaptor into the pump, and the USB-A end into a USB wall adaptor (not included). The LED screen will display the battery icon flashing to indicate charging in progress. Leave the NaturalWave® Pump plugged-in and charge for a minimum of 3 hours before using it for cord-free pumping. The battery icon on the screen will show 4 bars when the pump is turned on and fully charged. Note, we recommend using a 5V 2A USB-C UL or similar accredited charging adapter for best charging performance.
A: Use the nipple measure tool included with your pump to find the right flange size—measure only the nipple at the base and don’t include any of the areola (the darker skin around the nipple). As a general rule, many moms find they get the best fit by sizing down slightly from their measurement, and using our Organic Pumping Spray can help create a more comfortable seal and support efficient pumping. A good fit means your nipple moves freely in the tunnel without rubbing, and only the nipple—not the areola—is drawn into the flange. It’s also completely normal for each breast to need a different size and for your size to change over time, especially in the early postpartum period. A: Yes, you can continue to pump when it is plugged into the wall and charging.
