Lansinoh adds its flagship HPA® Lanolin nipple cream to its collection of certified climate neutral products

Made from ultra-pure lanolin, HPA® Lanolin Nipple Cream has helped breastfeeding mothers soothe and protect sore nipples for almost 40 years. A unique refining process ensures a high-quality, 100% natural lanolin cream with no additives, preservatives, fragrance, or taste. Thanks to its purity, it does not need to be removed before breastfeeding, making it safe for mothers and babies. HPA® Lanolin Nipple Cream has long been the #1 choice of mothers and is #1 recommended by healthcare professionals in the US. It is natural, simple, and effective. According to a recent study in the UK, moms who used Lanolin Nipple Cream reported breastfeeding 25% longer*.

"After introducing our first three climate neutral products (Nature Soft nursing pads, Birth Prep & Recovery Organic Massage Oil, and Herbal Postpartum Spray) in 2020 and 2021, we are proud to announce that HPA® Lanolin is now also climate neutral," says Leonard Sasse, Global Sustainability Manager at Lansinoh. "For us, climate neutrality means taking responsibility for the climate effects of our activities for the benefit of future generations," Sasse continued.

Important partner - DFGE

All climate neutral products from Lansinoh are validated and certified by the DFGE Institute for Energy, Ecology, and Economy and strictly follow the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, PAS 2060 standard. Certification is based on three pillars: measure – reduce – offset.

With this approach, we prioritize avoiding and reducing emissions: All greenhouse gas emissions generated by HPA® Lanolin during its entire lifecycle are measured. In a second step, emissions hotspots are avoided where possible. All remaining emissions are then offset through the support of a certified environmental project in Cambodia that reduces greenhouse emissions by introducing modern water treatment methods in rural areas.

HPA® Lanolin nipple cream is certified climate neutral by the DFGE Institute for Energy, Ecology, and Economy. Based in Munich, Germany, DFGE is a leading voice in sustainability measurement and climate strategy. They use a rigorous analytical process to measure all aspects of a product’s greenhouse emissions, ensuring all materials and offsets accurately ensure climate neutrality.

Lansinohs HPA® Lanolin Nipple Cream is available in drugstores, pharmacies, baby shops and online.
